Police described the journalist's attacker as a known football hooligan.
This is the moment a man punched a TV journalist during a live broadcast in Russia.
Nikita Razvozzhayev was reporting for NTV from a Moscow park, which was filled with paratroopers as Russia celebrated Airborne Troops Day.
The footage shows a man approaching the journalist as he reported live. Razvozzhayev asks him to keep away, prompting the individual to unleash a right hook into the journalist’s face. The man then walked off, as NTV cut swiftly to the studio.
The attacker, who Russian media said was drunk, was arrested shortly afterwards. Police described him as a known soccer hooligan.
Angry social media users blamed the incident on paratroopers, labelled in Russia as a rowdy bunch who drink in public places, bath in fountains and harass passers-by.
