Cristiano Ronaldo scores winning header as Portugal win 1-0.
It had to be that man again. Cristiano Ronaldo has put speculation over his tax affairs and questions surrounding his future at Real Madrid aside, scoring the winning goal as Portugal overcame Confederations Cup hosts Russia 1-0.
His eighth minute header appeared to give the Euro 2016 winners and extra spring in their step, and the single goal margin would have been far greater had it not been for some inspired goalkeeping by Igor Akinfeev on his hundredth cap.
Portugal will hope to top their group as they go into their final game against New Zealand on Saturday.
