A suspect is reported to have been identified after a deadly explosion outside a kindergarten in eastern China.

At least eight people died and 65 were injured in the blast in the city of Xuzhou.

Authorities said the explosion was a criminal act.

Witnesses described seeing adults and children lying on the ground after the blast.
