Helpless people were found fourteen miles off the coast of Libya. Few of them with some strength left were struggling to approach the rescue boats.

The images were recorded by members of the NGO Sea Watch. During just last weekend, the German NGO volunteers contributed in rescuing more than 3,000 migrants and refugees from West Africa, who were at danger in the sea, trying to reach Europe.

In many cases, the dinghies were found to be almost deflated from the start of this reckless Europe-bound trip, the Sea-Watch volunteers reported.
