Back on the tennis courts after a two-month break and sporting a new haircut, 18-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer has paid tribute to his rival Rafael Nadal’s victory in the French Open.

“It is nice to see that if you have a great goal, like Rafa with the French Open or me, with Wimbledon, then you can reach this goal. And he just demonstrated that. And I hope that it will give me some self-confidence. But, he’ll come to Wimbledon now with great self-confidence. Which is not ideal….” LAUGHS> Simply incredible, Rafa #10 #RG17#VamosRafa#justdoit

Nadal’s latest triumph takes him to within three grand slam titles of matching Federer’s record.
