Record-breaking bartenders prove their skills in Mexico City.

Three hundred bartenders in Mexico City have beaten the world record for the most gin and tonics prepared simultaneously.

Dating back to the 18th century, when it was used to treat malaria, the cocktail is still popular today, although perhaps not for the same reasons.

Queen Victoria was also reportedly partial to a G+T as Beefeater Brand Manager, Maria Victoria Lara, explained…

“There is an anecdote that one day, one of her royal guards and her bartender were not there. So, she asked a guard to teach his entire battalion how to prepare the recipe for the perfect Beefeater gin and tonic.”

The previous record was beaten by 50.
