A counter-terrorism operation by police in Spain and Morocco led to the arrests of three people with suspected links to ISIL on Monday.

Two were detained in the northeastern Spanish region of Catalonia. They are believed to have been involved in recruiting people to fight for the group in Iraq and Syria as well as spreading propaganda. Both are reportedly Moroccan nationals.
