Holders France have reached the final of the men’s world handball championship on home soil after seeing off the semi-final challenge of Slovenia.
The home nation sent their fans into wild jubilation when they won through 31-25 in Paris to reach the showpiece match for a second consecutive time.
They are now just one win away from a record-extending sixth world title and fourth from the past five editions.
In Sunday’s final they will meet either 2003 champions Croatia or last four debutants Norway, who square off in the other semi-final on Friday evening.
