Japan: force-fed fish furore

A good-luck ritual in Japan where fish are force-fed alcohol has prompted an outcry on social media.

The carp are fed rice wine or sake every January 7th in this community in central Japan.

It is hoped bad luck is purged from the person holding the fish.

Animal rights campaigners have complained after the video went viral on social media.
