Poland’s Kamil Stoch won the final round of the prestigious Four Hills ski jumping tournament at the Austrian resort of Bischofshofen on Friday and with the victory he took the overall title.

The two-time Olympic gold medallist added the final major title missing from his CV when he saw off the challenge of Austria’s Michael Hayboeck in second and fellow Pole Piotr Zyla in third.

Stoch is the first Polish winner of the four-stop event since Adam Malysz in 2001.

Norwegian Daniel Andre Tande was leading the standings heading into the final stop in Austria but lost his balance on his final jump to see his title chances vanish with a 26th place finish in Bischofshofen.

Tande ended the Four Hills Tournament third overall behind Stoch and Zyla.
