The body of Fabrizia di Lorenzo, the Italian victim of the Berlin Christmas market attack, has arrived in Rome.

The parents and brother of 31-year-old di Lorenzo were at Rome’s Ciampino airport for the arrival.

Italian President Sergio Mattarella was present at the airport as well.

Twelve people were killed and dozens more injured when a truck was driven through a Christmas market in Berlin on 19 December.

The Islamic State group (ISIL) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Di Lorenzo had been living in Berlin and visited the Christmas market to buy gifts to take home to loved ones in Italy.
