Prosecutors in Bulgaria have charged the country’s former economy and energy minister over the cancellation of a 10 billion euro nuclear project.

Rumen Ovcharov is accused of mismanagement.

An arbitration court ruled Bulgaria must pay more than 600 million euros in compensation to Russian energy giant Atomstroyexport, following the Balkan country’s decision to axe the project.
