Bill Gates – the world’s richest person – keeps getting richer.
According to the latest Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index calculations, his fortune is now worth $90 billion (79.4 billion euros), an increase of $15 billion since the begining of 2016 and up from less than $60 billion in 2012.
The Microsoft co-founder’s current net worth is the equivalent of 0.5 percent of the entire US gross national product.
Most recently it has been boosted by the rising value of his investments in the Canadian National Railway Company and the water, hygiene and energy technologies firm Ecolab.
