Sparks fly in Chicago as lightning appears to strike rail track

People passing by a Chicago train station were in for a shock on Sunday.

Sparks were flying after lightning appeared to strike the metro station during a violent thunderstorm. An aluminium cover fell onto the track, resulting in the suspension of three service lines.

No injuries were reported.
