At least 90 people have been killed by lightning strikes in India.

Most of the victims are reported to have been working on farms during torrential rains when they were hit.

The deaths were reported in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh.

Lightning strikes are common during India’s monsoon season, with at least 2000 people dying annually over the last decade.
