The Democratic Republic of Congo has been remembering its favourite son, Papa Wemba, who has been buried in Kinshasa.
A private ceremony was held for the musical superstar, and large crowds gathered outside Notre Dame cathedral. Papa Wemba collapsed on stage and died last week aged 66.
A highly influential artist, he worked with among others Stevie Wonder and Peter Gabriel. He was the first African artist whose sales earned him a Gold record.
