Steve Kerr was awarded with the Red Auerbach Trophy on Wednesday for the NBA’s coach of the year.
Kerr has overseen a stunning campaign so far with the reigning NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors, who with 73 wins and nine losses in the regular season set a new record.
The previous record for the best season was set by the 1996 Chicago Bulls team that Kerr played for.
Kerr won the award following a vote by a panel of 130 broadcasters and journalists
