The Heat were up at the end of the first quarter leading Detroit 25-19.

The Pistons tried to hold onto the Heat, but they were too hot to handle forging a comfortable lead at the halfway point of 54-36.

In the end Goran Dragic scored 22 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 107-89 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

The Heat remained in fifth place in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The Pistons remained two games ahead of Chicago for the final No. 8 spot in the East.
