The leader of the Spanish socialists, Pedro Sanchez, and the leader of Podemos, Pablo Iglesias, have agreed to meet next Wednesday in order to start fresh negotiations over a possible coalition government.

Spain is teetering on the brink of having to hold fresh elections after the failure of all parties to agree on a coalition.
