The stage is set and The Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers are eagerly waiting in the wings to compete in this season’s Super Bowl.

The 50th edition of arguably the worlds most razzle-dazzle championship finale takes place at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday night.

The Denver Broncos beat reigning champions the New England Patriots to reach the final.

Peyton Manning, nicknamed the Sheriff, has a chance to win in his second Super Bowl title and at 39 he will be the oldest quarterback to play in the NFL’s showpiece event.

The Broncos are hunting a third title and first since 1998 while the Panthers are making their second appearance and targeting a first crown.

Manning is expected to retire after the game but it is just the beginning for Panthers star Cam Newton.

The 26-year old has shined this campaign and led the Panthers to a 15-1 record in the regular season while scoring 45 touchdowns.

The only thing missing to cap off a stunning season is the shiniest of American football trophies.
