Rene Angelil was also the singer’s manager.
The couple had been married for over 20 years and had three children.
Dion took two career breaks to care for Rene after he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2000.
The singers’ parents first approached him to manage Dion when she was aged 12.
He stepped down as her manager in 2014.
