An Air Canada Shanghai to Toronto flight had to make a stop in Calgary after several passengers were injured in extreme turbulence.

Twenty-one people needed hospital treatment out of 351 passengers and crew.

The incident is under investigation. No indication has been given as to what caused the turbulence.
