Britain’s Leigh McMillan was officially crowned the most successful sailor in the nine-year history of the Extreme Sailing Series when he clinched an unprecedented third championship title in Sydney on Saturday.
McMillan and his crew on The Wave, Muscat completed his hat-trick in superb style with yet another convincing win over SAP Extreme Sailing Team.
McMillan will now leave that group behind to join Ben Ainslie’s America’s Cup bid in the New Year.
