Almost a year after its launch in Egypt Cairo has become Uber’s fastest-growing city in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The on-demand car service app. announced an investment of 250 million US dollars – around 234 million euros for expansion.

The Head of Operations at Uber Egypt said the number of company drivers and rides in Cairo have increased six fold since May.
