Britain’s Paul Bonhomme thrilled the home crowd by winning the Ascot stop on the Red Bull Air Race World Championship series.
The victory was Bonhomme’s third this season and second consecutive triumph at his home event.
The double world champion took the win ahead of Australian Matt Hall while Japanese pilot Yoshihide Muroya celebrated his first podium of the season with third.
Bonhomme now leads Hall by eight points in the overall series standings going into the final three races of the season the next of which takes place in Spielberg, Austria at the beginning of September.
