A record haul of a billion dollars’ worth of cocaine and heroin was unloaded by the US Coast Guard in California on Monday.

The drugs were seized by the US authorities over a four month mission off the Pacific coast of Mexico and Central America.
Thirty suspicious vessels were raided including two submarines.
The narcotics were moved to secret location where they will eventually be destroyed, officials said.
