Montreal Impact’s star summer signing Didier Drogba was officially presented to the fans in Quebec on Thursday.
The Ivory coast’s all-time top scorer has had a glittering career that has covered Europe and Asia.
He had two impressive stints with Chelsea winning four Premier League titles and the Champions League.
But at his unveiling he rubbished claims that he will be the superstar of the Impact squad.
He said: “A superstar is only the way people look at you but in the dressing room we are all the same. So we are human being and all I can try to do is to give back to those people, to those players who want to learn and I think I am going to learn also from them.”
The 37-year-old – who was released by Chelsea at the end of last season – will officially join the Canadian club when he receives his work permit but he’s hoping to make his MLS debut against New York Red Bulls next week.
