Rome’s Fiumicino airport resumed full operations on Wednesday after fire-fighting planes brought a blaze in a nearby pine forest under control.
The smoke forced Italy’s busiest airport to suspend landings and restrict take-offs temporarily.
It’s the second fire to have disrupted operations since May and the authorities believe it was started deliberately.
