Romania’s Tiberiu Dolniceanu produced a superb display to edge out Matyas Szabo in the men’s sabre final at the Moscow Grand Prix on Saturday.
The 27-year-old, who took the bronze medal at the Junior European Championships in Prague in 2007, beat Aron Szilgyi in the semis before carrying his momentum into the showpiece match with a convincing 15-11 win over his German opponent.
