Spanish giants Barcelona took a huge step towards the Champions League final with a convincing 3-0 first-leg victory over Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou on Wednesday.

Argentina striker Lionel Messi drilled a low shot past German keeper Manuel Neuer in the 77th minute before doubling his side’s advantage 3 minutes later with yet another clinical finish.

The Bavarians then pushed but it wasn’t to be as Brazilian international Neymar completed the rout in injury time, giving Luis Enrique’s men a major boost ahead of the return leg which gets underway on May 12.
