Ricky Martin is back on stage with a hot new album and it is already a success, thanks to a catchy lead single, Adios

The album, his tenth, was released in February and has been climbing charts around the world.

“It’s been a long time since I felt so good about my music, to be honest. It’s real, it’s raw, it’s honest,” says Martin.

“I felt vulnerable in the creative process and people are reacting beautifully. It’s number one in I don’t know how many countries and its number one in non-Hispanic countries, which is very special for me as well.”

With over 80 million albums sold worldwide, Ricky Martin is certainly the mega star of Latino pop music, a market that is growing strong.

“Just in the United States we are talking about 58 million Latinos in the country and we’re pretty much moving the economy. Within the next few decades we’re not going to be a minority anymore,” says the Puerto Rican singer.

“But then again it’s about uniting cultures. It’s about us saying we are part of this country and we are making this country and we are fighting for this country as well and I think that’s the beautiful part of it.”

The album, recorded in Spanish, is called “A Quien Quiera Escuchar”, or “To Those Who Want to Listen”.

To those, Ricky Martin will be touring in New Zealand, Australia and Mexico by June#.
