Britain is selling its 40 percent stake in Eurostar for 804 million euros.
Its part of a national plan to sell off publically owned assets in a bid to help rebalance the country’s books.
The stake is going to a consortium comprising of a Canadian public pension fund and the British asset management firm.
The remaining 60 percent of Eurostar is held by French rail operator SNCF, which has a 55 percent stake and Belgian national rail operator SNCB, which has a 5 percent stake.
