A Turkish Airline plane has skidded off the runway as it attempted to land at Kathmandu airport, Nepal, on Wednesday.

The Airline says 224 people were on board and only one passenger was slightly injured and is being treated in hospital.

“All of our passengers and crew have been safely evacuated and taken to the terminal,” said a Turkish Airlines spokesman.

“Necessary precautions have been taken for towing the aircraft out of its current place and the relevant work on that issue have started.”
