Nigeria’s electoral commission has announced a mid-February presidential election will be postponed to March 28 due to security concerns.

Opponents of the incumbent Goodluck Jonathan are likely to be enraged by the decision to delay what is expected to be the most hotly-contested vote since the end of military rule in 1999.
