Hundreds of thousands rally in France in response to Paris attacks

Hundreds of thousands of people filled the streets of Paris on Sunday (January 11) as a unity march moved slowly on the lengthy Boulevard Voltaire to show solidarity in the face of the Paris terrorist attacks. Amongst the myriad of “Je Suis Charlie” banners was an enormous inflatable pencil printed with “Free” on one side and “Not afraid” on the other.
