A move stateside has been confirmed by Steven Gerrard after he announced on Friday he was leaving Anfield at the end of the season.

“It will be America,” the 34-year-old said and added that he was not over the line with any one club in Major League Soccer yet but was close to a deal.
That has raised speculation in the US with one media source claiming Gerrard, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005 was set to pen an eighteen month deal with MLS outfit Los Angeles Galaxy.
One source quoted the deal with the Galaxy, where David Beckham had played was worth around five million euros.
