Haiti’s Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe has delayed a speech on his possible resignation as protesters call for both him and the country’s president to step down.

Street protests have dragged on for weeks as demonstrators demand overdue elections.

One poster on a placard read “Vladimir Putin, please help us!”

Many protesters want former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide back.

President Michel Martelly agreed on Friday to ask the prime minister to step down after accepting the recommendations of a presidential commission on breaking the political deadlock.
