Global security is high on the agenda at the United Nations General Assembly which brings together more than 100 heads of state and government.

Euronews took a break from UN HQ to head to the streets of the Big Apple to gauge the mood of the city. The brutality of ISIL has given many pause for thought: most cited terrorism as their greatest concern but others also mentioned climate change, hunger and even women’s empowerment.
