Video footage has emerged of the huge waves that have been pummelling Europe’s Atlantic coastline.

In Spain three people from the same family were swept out to sea by a huge wave. Rescuers are continuing their search for two people after one body was discovered near Valdovino, Galicia.
Portugal was among the countries worst hit, with amateur video showing the moment a huge wave surprised onlookers in Porto.
Britain’s west coast was also badly affected.
