Flagship precious metals dinner in London cancelled due to Omicron

<div> <p><span class="caps">LONDON</span> – A flagship precious metals dinner due to be held on Wednesday in London has been cancelled due to worries about the Omicron variant of coronavirus, the London Bullion Market Association (<span class="caps">LBMA</span>) said on Monday.</p> <p>The dinner, attracting hundreds of participants, was being held along with two other organisations, the London Platinum and Palladium Market and the International Precious Metals Institute.</p> <p>“This decision has been made due to tightening <span class="caps">COVID</span>-19 restrictions in the UK and around the world,” a statement said.</p> <p>A seminar on the same day will go ahead as a virtual event, it added.</p> <p/> </div>
