Paris Saint Germain has negotiated a second bank-breaking transfer this summer.
In a deal worth a total of 180 million euros, Monaco’s Kylian Mbappé will join the Paris club on loan for a season, before being signed next year.
The 18-year old looks set to see his salary increase by 1,900 per cent.
Neymar’s record-breaking deal
Taking Mbappé on loan will help the Parisian side avoid breaching UEFA’s financial fair play rules, under which clubs aren’t allowed to spend more than they earn.
PSG had already more than doubled the previous transfer record this year when it paid 222 million euros for Brazilian forward Neymar.
The club is doubtless hoping to use its new stellar line-up to regain the top spot in the French ligue 1.
