Manchester United have beaten off a very young Ajax side in Stockholm to be crowned Europa League champions.
The Dutch side seemed to struggle to get into the game, and in the 18th minute the Red Devils capitalised on a chance to take an early lead. French midfielder Paul Pogba’s left-footed strike from 25 yards out took a huge deflection to sail past Ajax keeper Andre Onana.
Fellow midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the second goal at 48 minutes to take Man United through to a 2-0 victory.
The win sees Jose Mourinho’s side qualify for the Champions League next season, which could see them attract some big-name signings this summer.
