If you love your grub, today is the day for you – and you don’t need to have a guilty conscience about it.

Across the United States, May 11 is celebrated as ‘Eat What You Want Day’.

And thankfully the tradition has spread beyond Uncle Sam’s borders – meaning that wherever you are, you can enjoy your favourite treat, no matter how rich it is in calories.

For some, chocolate is the first choice.

For others, fast food is the forbidden fruit that, for one day only, is acceptable.
