Great Britain’s Simon Yates, who led overnight, came second in the final classification after finishing twelfth in Stage Five.
Primoz Roglic from Slovenia tore through the largely downhill second half of the 17.8km course to triumph in the time trial in Lausanne to secure third place overall.
Meanwhile, Tour de France champion, Chris Froome, who rides for Team Sky, had another relatively quiet day, finishing the final stage in ninth place to finish the race 33rd overall.
