Westbrook's 42nd triple-double breaks 56-year record

Russell Westbrook has scored his 42nd triple-double of the season, smashing a 56-year record.

The Oklahoma City Thunder player scored 50 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists against the Denver Nuggets.

With 4:17 remaining and the record safely bagged, Westbrook went on to pull the Thunder back. He won their final 13 points of the game, including a three-pointer with just 2.9 seconds remaining.



The final score was 106-105, dashing the Nuggets’ chances of entering the playoffs.
