At least 18 people have died, many of them high school students, when a tree fell on them at a waterfall in Ghana.
The pupils were swimming during a storm when trees began to fall, trapping bathers in a pool at the bottom of the Kintampo falls, in the Brong-Ahafo region 400km north of the capital Accra.
Rescue workers used chainsaws to cut through the trees and free those trapped underneath. Around twenty-two people were injured in the freak accident.
President Nana Akufo-Addo tweeted his condolences to the families of the victims.
