Sweden's male and female skiers have taken the team prize at the season-ending combined race in Aspen.

There is only one team event in the year’s skiing calendar, when the men and women get together to fought it out for the honours. Four skiers from each of the eight major wintersports nations take part in the event, a combination of agility and speed. Aspen hosted the competition.

Sweden took gold ahead of Germany and France to end the season on a high as the men and women showed off their skills in the spectacular races that are set to appear in the Winter Olympics for the first time next year in South Korea.

Hargin Mattias beat Luitz Stefan to get the ball rolling for the Scandanavians, and then
Emelie Wickstrom confirmed the break by beating Marina Wallner.

Switzerland’s Daniel Yule was the fastest individual racer, but in this competition there were no medals for that exploit.
