Malta’s famous Azure Window rock arch is no more.

Seen in films and TV series including ‘Game of Thrones’, the landmark on the northwestern coast of the small island of Gozo, collapsed into the sea in stormy weather on Wednesday.

Malta’s Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said it always faced destruction because of natural corrosion but described its demise as ‘heartbreaking’.
