Lucas Perez scored a hat-trick to help Arsenal thrash Basel 4-1 and qualify for the Champions League last 16 as Group A winners.

Alex Iwobi scored the Gunners’ fourth goal at St. Jakob Park as Arsene Wenger’s men top the table on 14 points two clear of Paris Saint Germain who came from behind twice to draw with Ludogorets in their final group game.

Third placed Ludogorets meanwhile advance to the Europa League.

Serie A side Napoli beat Benfica in a top of the table clash to win Group B.

Jose Maria Callejon and Dries Mertens were on target for the Italians.

Benfica’s Raul Jimenez scored late on to set up a tense final few minutes but Napoli held on for the win.

Benfica progress to the knockout stage as group runners-up while Besiktas, who were thumped 6-0 by Dynamo Kyiv in their final group match, qualify for the Europa league.

Manchester City ended their Champions League Group C campaign with a 1-1 draw with Celtic.

City’s own on-loan player Patrick Roberts gave Celtic the lead after just four minutes before Kelechi Iheanacho swiftly levelled two minutes later.

Pep Guardiola’s side end the group in second place behind Barcelona who had Arda Turan score a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Europa-League bound Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal of the evening in Bavaria as Bayern Munich beat last season’s losing finalists Atletico Madrid 1-0.

The game was effectively a dead rubber as both sides had already qualified with Atletico going through as Group D winners and five-times champions Bayern progressing as runners up.

A distant third in the group and heading to the Europa League are FC Rostov who drew 0-0 with PSV Eindhoven.
