Aussie rowers up the creek without a paddle

The Australian rowing team are hard at work readying for Rio, but they have no boat and no oars.

They are up the creek without a paddle.

Originally they had failed to qualify for the Olympics following a third placed finish in Switzerland.

However, they were handed a reprieve when four Russian boats were forced to withdraw after widespread allegations of doping in the country.

The crew will now have to borrow a boat as the team’s original racer is back in Australia and will arrive too late for the first event.
