The Australian rowing team are a last minute substitution for the Rio Olympics, but are having to use a borrowed boat as their's is still back in Australia.

The Australian rowing team are hard at work readying for Rio, but they have no boat and no oars.

They are up the creek without a paddle.

Originally they had failed to qualify for the Olympics following a third placed finish in Switzerland.

However, they were handed a reprieve when four Russian boats were forced to withdraw after widespread allegations of doping in the country.

The crew will now have to borrow a boat as the team’s original racer is back in Australia and will arrive too late for the first event.
